This Valentine's Day, why not send your loved one a little something via the
World's Smallest Postal Service? The tiny love letters are big enough to say
those three words, but don't leave a lot of room for much else

Your message is carefully written in miniscule script - and even on a miniature desk - before being sealed in a stamp-sized envelope with wax bearing the sender's initial

To prevent it getting lost in the normal scale post it is placed into a translucent envelope along with a magnifying glass for viewing

WSPS, run single-handedly by postmistress Lea Redmond, also offer tiny packages containing a note that says "You are as cute as a...", along with an antique china button

San Francisco-based Lea started the service by popping the pared-down post office into her bike basket and setting-up in local cafes and shops

She explains: "The idea just popped into my head and it was so hilarious that I had no choice but to materialise it. For the first post, I strapped my miniature desk to my back inside my grandmother's old wicker suitcase, filled the milk crate on my bicycle with tools and supplies, and coasted down to Sweet Adeline Bakeshop in Oakland, CA, nervous as all heck. I was delighted to find that there are lots of people out there that are equally charmed by these little curios"
